Federer Strikes Gold

The Swiss duo of Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka has won
the Olympics doubles tennis event by defeating Simon Aspelin and
Thomas Johansson of Sweden 6-3, 6-4, 6-7 (4), 6-3 on Saturday.

The gold medal in doubles has come as a sweet consolation for Federer,
who had earlier lost in the QF of the singles event to James Blake. He's
also in the brink of losing his ATP world no.1 ranking to Nadal, come this Monday.

In the singles play-off match, Novak Djokovic defeated Federer conqueror
James Blake 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) to lift Serbia's first ever Olympic tennis medal.
